What We Do:
Once a month we come together as a church to give back to the less fortunate of Athens in the form of providing a hot meal to the homeless at Bigger Vision of Athens. We do this on the fourth Monday of every month, and we provide and serve a protein, vegetable, starch and desert to those at the shelter. You can help by either providing part of the meal or coming to serve or doing both. As a team our offering fullfils the meal and serves it up, so please know that whatever you can offer is a huge blessing to those at Bigger Vision. You will also find that it is truly an edifying experience for those partaking in the ministry.
We cook and serve 60 people on the fourth Monday of the month. Food can be brought to the church and and put in the fridge. If you are dropping it off the day of, then it needs to be there by 4:30 pm to be heated up, or by 5:00 pm if not. Ultimately we deliver the meal to BV by 5:45. Volunteers who are serving the food should also be there by 5:45 to set up.
